91 shopping days to Christmas!
Now this may not be the first reference to Christmas 2008 you've seen but... I'm on the prowl for T25 related gifts. If you know of any on the web let me know and I'll give them a 'special' 87wedgie page. Mail bob@volkswagent25.co.uk with link/s and I'll do the rest. Watch this space, as they say, and you might find that ideal gift, for yourself ;-)
Happy Christmas everybody...

New T25 on campus, well almost... Just found out Rick's got a new toy. Saw the pics this afternoon of his Air cooled T25 Autosleeper, really looks good and can't wait to see it in the flesh. Hopefully when he gets it on campus next week I'll get some shots into the gallery.

Slight technical problems ;-{ With site becoming increasingly popular, this month there was a danger of running out of bandwidth. So changed my hosting package and I screwed up one of the folder names during uploading to new server. Sorry for the gallery being out of action for a couple of days, all down to the word 'NEW' in a folder name once removed all is well. A simple fix just took me 2 days to get to a computer to sort! Sorry for the disruption all. Happy days!

Howard and a T25 Well, there we were watching our regular fix of Last of the Summer Wine (10th Aug 08 episode) and there was Howard and...

Another fine festival... Well done SVWOC for another fine event. Those visiting did a good job rolling the field, couple more years and it should be smooth ;-) Seriously good day yet again, well done to all those involved. Concours was (IOHO) by far the best yet. Here's looking forward to next year.

Holiday over back to work! What a break. 87wedgie was well behaved over the whole two weeks and the 900 miles covered. The only thing to let us down was the fridge, the weather was OK but could have 'tried harder'. Saw loads of T25 with happy smiling drivers, nice to wave to you all :)

Off to Cornwall for two weeks shortly. Yes two whole weeks. Look out for us and 87Wedgie if your around the London Apprentice area (St Austell). Give us a wave :-)

Second trip was a letdown! Another long May bank holiday with the boys and their girlfriends to Barnham.

Weather was great, almost (we got rather wet taking down the awning and two tents!), the campsite... Well the review for Lillies Holiday Park is to be updated (that's after the Dover trip's been written up). Needless to say we were far from impressed - New owners and sure those were the same cobwebs as last year!. After a good break there last year this year was a big let down, though the company was good as was the BBQ.

First trip of the year under our belts, to Dover, yes that's Dover, Kent.

What a surprise! Nice site, nice place and a lot to see and do. No I've not been at the sauce. A site review will follow shortly once I can get the better half of this team to write it! So watch this space.

87wedgie passes MOT.

It's been an expensive month, three MOT's, two lots of insurance plus two vehicles to tax! The best bit was that our 2nd MOT for the camper, in contrast to last year, cost just the test fee £50. Unlike my 'day car', a three year old Corsa C, which cost almost £400!!!! Who says new is better. The camper may drink more but it's more fun and pleasure to drive, accept parking in a tight spot!

Wet weekend!

Not stricktly true as the late May bank holiday was mostly dry and sunny but boy did we get wet packing up on the monday. There was eight of us in 87wedgie, awning and two tents. Site was under new ownership and not as good as our previous visit, thats one for review later, but we had a good family wekend. That is till Monday morning.

After 2 hrs breaking camp we had two soden tents, 1 sodden drive away awning and an awful lot of very, very wet cloths. Most of us had to change into before setting off home. The morel to this tail? If you don't like getting wet go abroard!

A marriage in heaven, for me!

I know it's sad but the third love in my life (that's after my wife and the boys) are my bonsai (the art of growing trees in pots). I know it should be the T25 and I guess I should be ashamed to admit it's down in fourth place but there you are!

I found this here at the Shohin-Bonsai Europe site. It shows Torben Pedersen in action whilst waiting for a ferry - now that's time management!

So what's volkswagent25.co.uk about?

87wedgie

volkswagent25.co.uk was originally born to log restoration and maintaining our own Volkswagen T25 camper (87wedgie). With T25 information spread far and wide on the web and an increasing number of hits on the web site it was decided to update, re launch and develop it into a 'complete' T25 portal. Although predominantly about all things T25 there's also more generic items of interest like camping reviews, guides, suppliers, forums, events, VW related books for sale, classifieds etc.

There's a time stamp to each page (bottom of the footer bar) so you'll be able to tell when a page was last updated. The site map gives a full overview of the site.

Please come back from time to time and see what's new. This is a work in progress so, watch this space.
